Education is the compass."        -- Anthony Martin The mission of the UYRS is to provide inner-city youths (ages 8-18) with an awareness of the motorsports industry through education, service learning, training and racing. This is accomplished through the Build A Dream Program, which is a two ten-week program ( five weeks in classroom and five weeks on a go-karting track) serving 100 students yearly and Team Development Program which provides 40 advanced UYRS students with actual racing experience and professional race team exposure.  Build A Dream and Team Development  programs focus on the motorsports industry, education, safety, youth development, citizenship and service learning.  Both programs integrate and reinforce math, science, technology, English and literacy skills, business and marketing, communications, and consumer and life skills.  The educational skills, discipline, self-esteem, and sportsmanship our youths gain from the Urban Youth Racing School take them far beyond the race track. These are qualities that enrich every aspect of their lives as they grow into accomplished, self-confident young men and women.
