COCA COLA SCHOLARS FOUNDATION - The Coca−Cola Scholars Foundation supports over 1,400 college students each year, with annual scholarships of $3.4 million through two nationally recognized programs on behalf of the Coca−Cola System.

ACADEMIC COMPETITIVE GRANT - The Academic Competitiveness Grant provides up to $750 for the first year of undergraduate study and up to $1,300 for the second year of undergraduate study. The program became available for the first time for the 2006-07 school year for first year students who graduated from high school after January 1, 2006 and for second year students who graduated from high school after January 1, 2005. The Academic Competitiveness Grant award is in addition to the student’s Pell Grant award.

CORE PHILLY - CORE (College Opportunity Resources for Education) Philly is a city-wide initiative founded by Congressman Chaka Fattah in collaboration with Philadelphia Mayor John F. Street, School District of Philadelphia CEO Paul Vallas, Philadelphia City Council members and School Reform Commissioners. This effort resulted in $40 million to provide scholarships for four years to help put college within reach of every Philadelphia high school student.

INVENT.ORG - For 17 years, the Collegiate Inventors Competition has recognized and encouraged undergraduate and graduate students on their quest to change the world around them. The Competition is one of the most prestigious honors available to college and university innovators.

THE AYN RAND INSTITUTE - ARI awards $81,250 in prize money each year to the winners of it essay contests. The following contest are avialable for 2008. Anthem - for 9th & 10th graders, Entry deadline March 20,2008.  The Fountainhead - for 11th & 12th graders, Entry deadline April 25, 2008. Atlas Shrugged - For college students and graduating high school students, Entry deadline Sept. 17, 2008.

THE GATES MILLENIUM SCHOLARS - The Gates Millennium Scholars program, established in 1999, was initially funded by a 1 billion dollar grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  The goal of GMS is to promote academic excellence and to provide an opportunity for outstanding minority students with significant financial need to reach their highest potential.

NCAA SCHOLARSHIP & INTERSHIPS - Sports scholarships

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BLACK JOURNALIST - Annually, NABJ awards more than $60,000 in scholarships to deserving students interested in pursuing careers in journalism. Scholarships are worth up to $25,000. Scholarships are open to any foreign or American born student, currently attending or entering an accredited four-year college/university in the U.S. or those who are candidates for graduate school.

THURGOOD MARSHALL COLLEGE FUND - Scholarships will only be awarded per semester based on available funding. Thurgood Marshall College Fund scholarships are not awarded directly to students. Scholarships are awarded to the student via the member college or university to which the student has been accepted.

SALLIEMAE COLLEGE ANSWER SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST - College Answer’s $1,000 Scholarship Giveaway

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION -  $1,500 HOPE Scholarship to make the first two years of college universally available. For students in the first two years of college (or other eligible post-secondary training), taxpayers will be eligible for a tax credit equal to 100% of the first $1,000 of tuition and fees and 50% of the second $1,000 (the amounts are indexed for inflation after 2001). The credit will be available on a per-student basis for net tuition and fees (less grant aid) paid for college enrollment after December 31, 1997. The credit is phased out for joint filers between $80,000 and $100,000 of income, and for single filers between $40,000 and $50,000 (indexed after 2001). The credit can be claimed in two taxable years (but not beyond the year when the student completes the first two years of college) with respect to any individual enrolled on at least a half-time basis for any portion of the year. - Lifetime Learning Credit for College Juniors, Seniors, Graduate Students and working Americans pursuing lifelong learning to upgrade their skills. For those beyond the first two years of college, or taking classes part-time to improve or upgrade their job skills, the family will receive a 20% tax credit for first $5,000 of tuition and fees through 2002, and for the first 10,000 thereafter. The credit is available for net tuition and fees (less grant aid) paid for post-secondary enrollment after June 30, 1998. The credit is available on a per-taxpayer (family) basis, and is phased out at the same income levels as the HOPE Scholarship.

NATIONAL ACADEMY OF AMERICAN SCHOLARS - for high school seniors whom exhibit scholastic excellence, leadership, merit, integrity, and outstanding character.

MARYLAND ARTIST EQUITY FOUNDATION - Scholarships for study in the visual arts for Maryland high school seniors range from $500 to $3,000 and will be credited to the student’s tuition accounts at accredited institutions. In 2007, awards totaled over $25.000.

IES SCHOLARSHIPS - IES commits $2 million each year to scholarship and financial aid programs because we firmly believe that financial limitations should not prevent a qualified student from participating in an IES program. Only IES students are eligible for these scholarships.
