Keeping in line with the other internship programs like the one-week NASCAR Craftsman Truck Team Internship in Charlotte NC. Craftsman Motorsports provides scholarship money to UYRS College or High School students who have interned at the UYRS headquarters. Their internship hours also count as class credits.

Also, UYRS advanced students participate in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series One-Week Internship Program. For one week, students travel to Charlotte to work with race teams preparing for the Atlanta Motor Speedway Race. UYRS students serve as interns and Craftsman Truck Racing Series Race Shops become “hands on” classrooms for four (4) UYRS students. During their internship, students tour all participating race shops, meet crew teams, drivers and sponsors and receive training. After a week of training, the students are assigned to crew teams and work the race, which is broadcast live on television and radio. ) This on-the-job training is quite exciting for UYRS students!
