A Message from the UYRS founder Anthony Martin

Like most teenagers growing up in West Philadelphia, racing was a sport far removed from my life-something I only watched on television. There was no opportunity for me or my friends to participate in racing and the cost of attending live races was prohibitive. But this didn't stop me from dreaming about becoming a professional driver. Though I never got behind the wheel, that never stopped me from creating a program that would have inroads into the motorsports industry for today's youth.

The journey has been filled with many wonderful experiences. As you navigate our
website, you will be able to get a glimpse of the hard work and dedication it has taken to establish a program that some deemed impossible

With exposure to the many different career opportunities within the motor sports world ,I am both grateful and blessed to be able to give UYRS students purpose at such a young age. The educational skills, discipline, self-esteem, and sportsmanship our youths gain from the Urban Youth Racing School take them far beyond the race track. These are qualities that enrich every aspect of their lives as they grow into accomplished, self-confident men and women.

While we've achieved many goals and made many dreams a reality, I am working towards fulfilling my biggest dream: to enable other children from across the country to experience this life-changing program. UYRS is committed to promoting diversity, providing quality educational opportunities and mentoring our youth national priorities.
